Just 1 block from the Lake, our Cottage is next door to our "Hilltop View Cottage". 2 King bedrooms and a large bunk room (which was the original PO for Higgins Lake) has 2 full over full bunks w/another TV! Excellent Wifi (Roku) & 3 season room w/ table-great for work/study space. Large fenced in backyard, gas grill, outdoor dining & fire pit with lots of chairs. Near Sam-O-Set Beach with neighborhood boat launch. Extra clean and charming w/a large open kitchen. Pets must be pre approved w/$30 pet fee.

Summary: Great location as easy access to two boat launches and beautiful Higgins Lake! Party store one street over, which is perfect for last minute needed items. Property was extremely clean and completely remodeled. The teens loved the “bunk room” as each bunk is a double. Would definitely stay again.

Summary: This was a very nice, clean and comfortable place. It sleeps 8 adults comfortably. The back yard is fenced in which was great for the dogs. There is a very nice fire pit in the side yard. I would go back. N

Summary: We had a great time at the Post Office Cottage. The house is well appointed with everything you need from extra towels to a variety of spices. We enjoyed the fire place every night during the frigid temperatures of our January ski weekend. Even the beds are extremely comfortable.

Summary: We brought my in laws (from Miami)to Higgins lake for the first time and this cottage was wonderful! Better than expected. Updated, spacious, and close to the lake! We loved the fenced yard for our toddler. Very comfortable furniture and everything you could need in the kitchen! Michelle is fantastic at communicating. Overall a great experience. We look forward to coming back next year!

Summary: I coordinate a yearly ice fishing weekend with my friends. We decided to go to Higgins Lake this year. The Post Office Cottage was the perfect place for me and my six friends to stay. There are six beds total, so we had to double up in one of the queen beds, but there are two couches that could have been used. The place was extremely clean and there was plenty of parking for everyone. We really liked the fact there were all of the kitchen appliances that one would need for a long stay. There was even a crock pot available! They also had basic showering needs such as soap and shampoo if you needed that. The owners stayed in close contact with us during our stay to ensure we had everything we needed and made sure with specific instructions on departing the property. All of us that stayed there were impressed with the property. It sits only a block off of the lake, so we were able to get on and off the ice very easily. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in the Higgins Lake community.
